Matt Loft has spent more than 15 years behind the camera.

Building a career that spans television, documentary, surf and outdoor content, promotional work, and community storytelling. Based on the South Coast of New South Wales and working across the Shoalhaven and Illawarra regions, he brings a calm, thoughtful approach to every project — always grounded, always respectful of people, place, and environment.

Through Lofty Studios, Matt creates video and photography that feels real and considered. His work is shaped by years of hands-on production experience, including his long-time role as Camera Operator and Editor on Mark Berg’s Fishing Addiction, one of Australia’s most well-loved fishing shows. Whether he’s filming on the ocean, in the bush, or collaborating with local artists and businesses, Matt captures moments with a light footprint and a strong eye for story.

With a background in broadcasting and over a decade of freelance and television experience, Matt has developed a quiet, confident style — one that doesn’t rely on big crews or big noise, but instead focuses on what’s there. Just honest visuals, made with care.
